Devotees Comments on the Green Tara Four Activity Fire Puja

Some Comments from Rinpoche's Devotees, on the Events Held in Johor Bahru to raise funds for the Lamas Retreat Centre.

All great event requires the right motivation, the right aspiration and the right effort. We are very fortunate to be linked together for this auspicious event - Green Tara Four Activity Fire Puja - that took place in Johor on 26th September 2006.

We are most grateful to Venerable Shangpa Rinpoche - without his blessings, compassion and tireless efforts, we would not have been able to participate in such a grand puja. We are equally grateful to every single individual who assisted and participated in this meritorious event. We thank all the people who have tirelessly put in their time, efforts and material contributions to make the event a great success.

In particular, we wishes to express our gratitude to Long Shan Shi for allowing the use of their facilities for the Fire Puja; Xiang Mun Ju for hosting the Green Tara Four Mandala Puja earlier, Xi Lian Ge for The Prayer of Compassion; Samantha and her team of volunteers who very professionally took care of all the details to ensure that the event could take place smoothly; the lamas and annis who undertook all the preparations for the puja; and, last but not least, Mr and Mrs TP Wong and Mr and Mrs Ronnie Tan who tirelessly but cheerfully took undertook the immense logistics to support the event.

May the Buddhas and Budhisattvas of the ten directions rejoice in this auspicious event. May our collective merits from participating in this grand puja bring unsurpassed happiness and joy to all sentient beings. May their happiness bring peace to the world we live in.

Thank You Venerable Shangpa Rinpoche

.......... another great, rare and successful event - the Green Tara Four Activities Fire Puja conducted by one of the most compassionate gurus of this era, the Venerable Shangpa Rinpoche.

Busy working schedule had almost deprived me of attending this great event that took place in Johor Bahru on 26th August 2006. I prayed diligently to Mother Tara beforehand to clear all obstacles for me to be able to attend the Fire Puja - the greatest task would have been to bring my 82-year old mother who has deep respect for Venerable Shangpa Rinpoche, to attend the event. The boarding and alighting of high-step buses are no easy task for her as she has acute arthritis. But I write with great pride now that there were no regrets in bringing her despite some inconveniences as my mother felt deep joy which no words could describe her feelings. In her own words after we came back to Singapore, "fortunately I went to this Puja which was so magnificent. I know many people were not so fortunate like me to have this good karma to attend such rare puja". Indeed, my mum did not feel wearisome at all despite the puja was long and detailed. We started at 7:30pm and ended at 12:30am.

I have attended numerous Fire Pujas but this one was really unusual. I deeply appreciate Venerable Shangpa Rinpoche's compassion in leading us through this event. Rinpoche was very detailed in every aspect making sure that there was no shortcut despite it was really going late into the night. It must not go without saying that the place we got for holding this event was just GREAT! A big thank you to those who organized this.

I truly rejoice in all aspects of this event and to Rinpoche, once again, thank you very, very much. To all the lamas and anis, thank you very much for your efforts. To all my dharma brothers and sisters who attended this event, CONGRATULATIONS, to those who miss this great, rare and auspicious event - pray that there will a next one.
