Heartfelt Congratulations to Rinpoche from the Vision Group

- on Rinpoche becoming President of Dharmodaya Sadha, on the anniversary of Kagyu Institute for Buddhist Studies, and for the first World Peace Grand Prayer

The Vision Group wishes to express heartiest congratulations to Venerable Shangpa Rinpoche on his appointment as the President of Dharmodaya Sadha, a leading Buddhist Organisation in Nepal, in September 2005. Rinpoche's tireless effort to realise his vision over the years has won admiration and respect from all. His ceaseless journey to propagate Dharma to help sentient beings towards the Path to Enlightenment is wholeheartedly supported by the Vision Group.

The Vision Group rejoices in sharing the first anniversary of the Kagyu Institute for Buddhist Studies in Kirtipur. The Institute is the first school in Nepal of the Karma Kagyud tradition, open to lay practitioners from around the world. Despite the recent social unrest in Nepal, the Institute is committed to provide Buddhist teachings to all who seek with a sincere heart. Students from the Institute will embark on their second year of Buddhists Studies in September 2006.

Rinpoche organised the first World Peace Grand Prayer at the Great Boudhanath Stupa in Kathmandu out of his infinite compassion to help as many sentient beings as possible. Rinpoche led 600 members of the Maha Sangha and 200 members of the Vision Group in a grand puja offering ten thousand butter lamps and aspiration prayers for world peace at Boudhanath on 7th December 2005. May the world be free from conflicts, natural disasters and diseases. May the merits from this auspicious event bring unsurpassed joy to all sentient beings.
