Initiations at Lhundup Choling Monastry

Shangpa Rinpoche received a series of Initiations from the Rinchen Terzo and Dudjom Terma - April 2002

Rinpoche went to Nepal to receive the above mentioned intiations. He took time out today to send us the following report and images -

HE Trulshig Rinpoche

Shangpa Rinpoche : "His Eminence Trulshig Rinpoche is currently giving initiation at Lhundup Choling Monastery at Kathmandu. Lhundup Choling monastery was built by the Ven Sang Sang Rinpoche. His Eminence Trulshig Rinpoche is giving selected initiation from the Rinchen Terzo and Dudjom Terma. These were jointly requested by HH Dudjom Yangsi and Dephuk Rinpoche.

There are many Rinpoches and Sangha from various schools and traditions. In particular, the young HH Dilgo Khentse Yangsi and HH Dudjom Yangsi, HE Chokling Rinpoche and between 30 to 40 Rinpoches are receiving the initiation. At the outside of the temple, there are regularly around 1500 to 2000 people attending the empowerments. Everyday the initiations start at 1pm and end around 5.30pm. During the morning, HE Trulshig Rinpoche does his preparation for the initiation. There are about 3 or 4 initations given per day to everyone.

I am very fortunate to receive this initiation, for which I have cancelled many Dharma teachings and a retreat programme at Singapore and Malaysia. I really apologize for the inconvenience caused to everyone. During the initiation, I am making strong wishes that everyone receives a great wealth of Dharma, and dedicating the merits to the benefit of all sentient beings."

We are very pleased to present below some images that Shangpa Rinpoche sent today (7th April) from the Initiations ....
