For the Benefit of all Beings Pervading Space (Recitation and Meditation on Chenrezig).
This collection comprises of 2 CDs produced in conjunction with the Mani Dungrub event which involves 100 million recitation of 'Om Ma Ni Pad Me Hung' usually held at the end of the year at our centres.

Chenrezig
The first CD contains the Avakiteshvara Sadhana recited by Venerable Shangpa Rinpoche. The root text of this sadhana 'For the Benefit of All Being Pervading Space' was composed by a Tibetan saint, Thangtong Gyalpo (1385-1509). According to historical records, Thangtong Gyalpo received the transmission of this practice directly from Avalokiteshvara and since then it has been widely practised in all the Tibetan schools of Buddhism.
The second CD contains the Avalokiteshvara Six Syallable mantra chanted to a traditional Tibetan tune.
Important Advice: Before one engages in the serious practice of this sadhana, one should obtain the oral transmission and guidance from a qualified lineage master.
Dedications: By the merits of producing these CDs, may there be peace and happiness in the new millennium
May all develop the qualities of Arya Avalokiteshvara and generate great love and compassion for all beings.
Calling the Guru from Afar
This prayer 'Calling Guru from Afar' was composed by the great master, Jamgon Kongtrul Lodro Thaye (1813-1899).

Calling Guru from Afar
The first part of the prayer is to invoke the blessings of the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, accomplished Indian and Tibetan masters and one's guru to guide us in our spiritual development.
In the second part of the prayer, we confess our faults, mistakes and defects.
The essence of the whole prayer is to develop our renunciation and generate the determination to practise Dharma diligently. The prayer inspires one to develop unshakeable faith and reliance on our gurus, the source of all accomplishments. Frequent and sincere recitation of the prayer will remind us of our faults and the need to practice Dharma. Ultimately, we are inspired to attain Enlightenment for the benefit of all sentient beings.
