The Tsunami Disaster
A Message from Shangpa Rinpoche, regarding the recent Tsunami Disaster
"Dear all,
It is very sad moment for all of us to know that Tsunami disaster has taken so many lives and also separate so many people to their beloved family members. Things we can realize after knowing this incident, life is so impermanent and no one knows what will happen next moment. Just within few minute of time, so many people have died and all surrounding turn into graveyard.

Tsunami in Banda Aceh,
Indonesia
It is the time for us to realize the impermanent and diligently start practice the dharma to liberate one self and all mother sentient beings, because time does not wait till we finish.
Most importantly, it is the time for us to dedicate merit to all these victims who have gone through so much sufferings at the time of death and thereafter individual Karma will follow after. So as a practitioner of Bodhisattva, we must accumulate lots of merits and dedicate to all those victims and wish they may be liberated from the chain of suffering of this Samsara.
For that, I have been doing aspirations and dedications for them these few days, also our Monastery at Pokhara is doing the Red Chenrezig Puja for the liberation of sentient beings especially to Tsunami Victims of Asia regions. Our nunnery nuns are doing Green Tara Puja and reciting 21 homage for prevention of such disaster in the future. They are also reciting Amitabha's pureland prayers everyday to dedicate them.
I encourage all of our disciples and devotees to do some lamp offerings and do Amitabha prayers as well as Green tara recitations for victims and survival people will benefit them during this difficult period. It is also a very meaningful to make donations to that areas people who are not only sad because of their beloved one died but also left nothing to survive. Every small gift will be life saving cause for them and therefore should play your role as good Buddhist to generate compassion and benefit them temporarily and permanent needs by thought and actions.
May everyone be free from suffering and cause of suffering."
Shangpa Rinpoche.
